
FLAT PLATE AUTOMATIC BLISTER PACKING MACHINE – ALBLIS-350
ALBLIS-350 is a versatile, wide format ‘Flat Plate’ intermittent motion automatic blister packing machine that can produce Alu-Alu blister packs by cold forming method as well as PVC-Alu blister packs by thermoforming method. This is a ‘Flat-Forming-Flat-Sealing’ type machine that is utilized for packing of smaller and regular shaped solid articles such as pharmaceutical tablets, capsules, dragees etc., in Alu-Alu or PVC-Alu blister packs. This machine can also be used for packing of Ampoules, Vials, Tubes as well as cream. paste, jam etc in PVC-Alu blister packs. The Blister Forming, Sealing, Batch Code Embossing, Pack Perforation, Indexing and Punching operations are of intermittent reciprocating motion. Various types and styles of product feeding devices are offered to suit different application.
The output capacity of the machine depends on the product characteristics and thus on the type of feeding device. Normally for cold forming operation to produce Alu-Alu blisters this machine would operate at 25-35 cycles per minute and for thermoforming operation to produce PVC-Alu blisters it would operate at 30-50 cycles per minute.
This machine adopts latest technology in its indexing mechanism. In place of the standard mechanical-pneumatic indexing system, this machine adopts servo motor mechanism driving a precision lead screw or rubberized pinch roller for accurate indexing and easy setup of indexing through HMI.
All four stations – forming, sealing, batch code embossing, and pack cutting – are mounted on gear mandrel system. All stations can be accurately and quickly repositioned during change-over by simple turning of hand-wheel.
The packing materials namely cold forming laminated Aluminium foil or thermoforming PVC film and the lidding material namely Aluminium foil (or Glassine Paper foil) with heat sealable VMCH lacquer are required for blister packing and are drawn off from reel stock. The blister packs, which are punched out from main web, are transferred over a short conveyor belt on the machine for further handling. The trim waste is wound on a roll for easy disposal.
