It can be used for Pharmaceutical, Food, Chemical and Cosmetic products etc. The machine can be broadly divided in three parts viz.; main mixing vessel, stand or support structure and drive. The vessel is mounted on the stand on two pillow block ball bearings on each side. Drive, consisting of motor, gearbox etc. is also mounted on the stand. Powders or granules that are to be mixed are loaded in the vessel. Vessel rotates around its central shaft, driven by the drive system. As the vessel rotates, powders start flowing due to gravitational force. Because of the conical shape of vessel, mass of flowing powders contract and expand continuously, achieving desired mixing or blending.
